Shimano Electric System
The Shimano electric system represents a harmonious balance between power, efficiency and integration.
The latest-generation engine is placed in the bike's bottom bracket, providing steady and noiseless support while pedaling.
Karga is available with Shimano EP6 or Shimano EP801 setups, both 85Nm, whose output power can be adjusted to suit the terrain and the specific needs of the rider.
The integrated 720Wh battery, housed in the down tube of the frame, provides exceptional range, enabling long rides.
Essential information that can be consulted while pedaling such as: speed, distance cycled and battery charge level are easily monitored via the new LCD display that can be read even in bright sunlight. Data control panels are customizable.

All mountain kinematics
It’s neither an enduro nor a trail bike. Thanks to its 160 mm travel, the Karga aims to meet the needs of most cycling enthusiasts who want to keep fit while having fun. The carbon fibre front frame triangle is fitted with a double-thickness aluminium rear frame triangle which accommodates the 29’’ wheels. Easy to pedal uphill, just the right level of agile downhill.
Protection against every adverse event
The Karga inherits the same rubber protectors which protect the bearings from the seeping of mud and dirt from our Urta Hybrid. The Token branded third series won the prestigious Taipei Cycle Show Awards 2021 for its lower bearing-mounted system that allows the steering rotation to be customised. A solution that protects the frame from sudden rotation of the handlebar in the event of a fall.
Shimano transmission
Four frame sizes are available: S, M, L, XL. Three setups match each colour variant with an exclusive assembly list based on Shimano XT, SLX and Deore components.

- What should I do if I see an error on the display?An error may be shown on the display for different reasons. You can click on the following link to find out the cause and its solution: https://www.tq-ebike.com/en/support/manuals/error-codes/
- Up to what speed does the pedal assist system work?The SHIMANO EP801 and SHIMANO EP6 pedal-assist systems installed on KARGA deliver power up to your national speed limit. Beyond this speed, the motor stops delivering power but the bike can still be used as a regular MTB.
- Does the e-bike motor deliver power even when I don’t pedal?No. When riding without motor assistance, the HPR50-equipped e-bike behaves like a regular bike. This due to the specially developed freewheels which completely disengage from the whole motor and transmission.
- Does the system require regular maintenance?Maintenance is limited and simple. The SHIMANO system requires no particular maintenance: wash your bike like a regular bike, lubricate the chain and check wear on the brake pads. However, Wilier Triestina recommends you to have your KARGA regularly checked at an official dealer to avoid mechanical issues.
- How should I store my KARGA’s battery?If the battery won’t be used for a long time, we recommend you store it at room temperature, ideally between 18 and 20°C. Avoid leaving the battery installed on KARGA during cold nights or exposed to direct sunlight.
We recommend you store the battery with a residual charge of more than 30% to avoid the internal cells shutting down completely. - I have a question or a problem with the pedal assist system. What can I do?Contact your local SHIMANO SERVICE CENTRE or Wilier Triestina dealer.
- Is the internal battery made by Shimano?The internal battery in KARGA is produced by Simplo and has a power output of 720 Wh, Shimano's partner company for high-capacity batteries. The battery is certified compatibly with Shimano standards and bears the logo "SHIMANO STEPS SERVICE." In the event of any problems with the battery, Shimano will take care of any repair or replacement.
- How long does the life of the internal battery last?The internal long-life battery ensures sufficient power release even after 1000 charging cycles. After 1000 cycles, the remaining battery capacity is 60% of its original condition.
